Même si la lignée de Caïn a été détruite pendant le déluge, il est courant que de nombreux groupes occultes revendiquent leur descendance physique et spirituelle de Caïn, et dans ce cas, d'Enoch, dans leurs écrits et leurs traditions.

Par exemple, le « livre d'Hénoch » trouvé dans la bibliothèque des manuscrits de la mer Morte des Esséniens est sans aucun doute un produit du méchant Hénoch, équipé du calendrier solaire susmentionné qui s'oppose à Moïse et aux prophètes.

The strange love-affair with the book of Enoch and other mystical writings is well documented by author and researcher Gary Wayne.

He notes : “[The Essenes] unaccountably considered themselves to be an Enochian Judaism sect descending from Enoch (the evil). They unaccountably cherished the serpent/dragon as an ancient symbol of the Essene Therapeutate heritage, the infamous White Snake Brotherhood of Egypt. Essenes further held the book of Jubilees, and anything to do with Enoch, in the highest regard. … It was their peculiar practice to pray in the morning by turning themselves towards the sun, in defiant contrast and opposition to other Israelite sects, who prayed in the direction of the temple. …

Essenes were a vigorous sun cult that, according to Knight and Lomas, were an alliance of Enochian and Zadokite priests descending from the Melchizidek cult of Canaan.

Essenes became known to history and legend as the Zadokites (Zedek the encoded sun god component of Melchizedek), Princes of Jerusalem who escaped to Europe after 70 C.E., forming the families that eventually founded the Knights Templar.”8

Wayne’s description of “Enoch the evil” is a reference to Cain’s firstborn son of Genesis 4:17, the same man through whom the remainder of Cain’s godless line would be spawned (not to be confused with Enoch the son of Jared of the “good” line of Adam). Even though Cain’s lineage was destroyed during the flood, it is common for many occultic groups to claim both physical and spiritual descent from Cain, and in this case, Enoch, within their writings and traditions.

For example, the “book of Enoch” found in Essenes’ Dead Sea Scrolls library is no doubt a product of Enoch the evil, equipped with the aforementioned sun-based calendar that is in opposition to Moses and theProphets.

[The Essenes were an active secret society of Jerusalem from at least the time of Ezekiel the prophet until they were disrupted by the Jewish-Roman wars sometime after AD 70, as Wayne noted. Of course, their legacy didn’t end there. The Knights Templar, also called the Poor Fellow-Soldiers of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon, was a French military order of the Catholic church that was founded around 1119 under the guise of defending pilgrims on their way to Jerusalem.

Après l'arrivée de Caïn dans le Terre de Nod, auquel il fut banni par Dieu en guise de punition pour le meurtre de son frère Abel, sa femme tomba enceinte et donna naissance au premier enfant de Caïn, qu'il nomma Enoch.

Cet Enoch ne doit pas être confondu avec Enoch, fils de Jared, à qui la paternité de la Livre d'Enoch est attribué.

Après la naissance d'Enoch, le texte hébreu de Genèse 4:17 n'est pas clair. Soit Caïn a construit une ville et l’a nommée d’après le puissant Enoch, soit Enoch a construit une ville.^[1] Dans le Bible du roi Jacques, le texte indique clairement que Caïn a construit la ville et lui a donné le nom de son fils.

Jubilés

Le Livre des Jubilés 4:9^[2] donne des informations supplémentaires, indiquant la naissance d'Enoch comme 190–196 AM, et l'année de construction de la ville d'Enoch comme 197 AM. Ceci indique également que la mère d'Enoch et l'épouse de Caïn ont été nommées Âwân.

Genesis

After Cain arrived in the Land of Nod, to which he was banished by God as his punishment for murdering his brother Abel, his wife became pregnant and bore Cain's first child, whom he named Enoch.

This Enoch is not to be confused with Enoch, son of Jared, to whom the authorship of the Book of Enoch is ascribed.

After the birth of Enoch, the Hebrew text of Genesis 4:17 is unclear. Either Cain built a city and named it after the mighty Enoch, or else Enoch built a city.^[1] In the King James Bible, the text makes it clear that Cain built the city and named it after his son.

Jubilees

The Book of Jubilees 4:9^[2] gives additional information, giving Enoch's birth as 190–196 A.M., and the year at which the city of Enoch was built as 197 A.M. This also states that the mother of Enoch and wife of Cain was named Âwân.
